Prototyping!
On May 21, the teams identified brainstorming ideas they wanted to dig into further, and prototype.

Using the following POVS as touchpoints:
- Resource-limited tech worker needs a way to effectively donate and see the outcome of their contribution because time and money are limited and they want to connect with the community.
- Overworked (by choice) tech worker wants to avoid burnout and needs a way to decompress creativity with a minimum amount of preparation or training because it is difficult to plan when you have an impacted schedule
two separate teams built prototypes and tested their ideas, ultimately morphing concepts into one big idea:
Our Idea: Art & Tech
Lectures/Speed Dating/Creativity Challenge
- · Art & Tech Lectures will feature a series of summer lectures at tech campuses featuring artists connected with programming at the Art Center or other local institutions (could be a collaboration with other arts organizations). These will be free, open to all participants and will occur on weekday evenings.
·
- · Speed Dating Receptions will happen before or after the lectures and will provide a chance to meet artists, network with other tech workers, enjoy libations, learn about the impact of the Art Center’s work and hear pitches from the Art Center about how their support can enhance our programs
- · Emails and/or texts collected from these events will be included in Creative Challenge follow ups—emails or texts that come from the Art Center with various creativity challenges (e.g., make a dinosaur out of recycled materials). These will be weekly challenges, perhaps moving to a daily format during “creativity week” or “creativity month.”
