Define--creating POV statements!

On April 30, the Steering Committee and Advisor team worked to create our POV or Problem/Experience Statements. The team reviewed the more than 30 responses to our survey of tech workers, then worked to develop lists of users, needs, and insights. Next, the team developed a list of possible POVs and voted on them.

  • ·         Tech-saturated tech worker needs a way to escape tech to have analog, hands-on experiences. (7 votes)
  • ·         Tech workers need a way to be creative because he/she wants to relax and do something different from his/her job role. (7 votes)
  • ·         Resource-limited tech worker needs a way to effectively donate because time and money are limited. (7 votes)
  • ·         Resource-limited tech worker needs a way to escape their hoarding mentality to see the benefits of giving time and money. (5 votes)
  • ·         Tech worker who does not donate time/money to nonprofits needs a way to see the outcome of their contribution to connect with their community. (5 votes)
  • ·         Lonely tech worker needs a way to meet people because it feels less lonely to feel connected. (4 votes)
  • ·         Tech workers who are creative need a way to express their creativity outside of work because being creative makes them feel a sense of inspiration and reward. (4 votes).
  • ·         Creative/design tech worker needs a way to engage in variety of creative activities to produce better design and be more successful at their job. (hybrid; 4 votes).
  • ·         Stressed tech worker needs a way to take a break from work to be stimulated in new ways with food, outdoor activities and community to prevent burnout (hybrid; 3 votes).
  • ·         The tech worker needs to be creative at work and outside of work to feel a sense of reward and accomplishment.
  • ·         Tech workers in design need a way to create art themselves because they want to be better at their job and engage/understand their target. (1 vote)
  • ·         People going to museums or being creative at work need to interact with other to gain a broader view of art. (1 vote)
  • ·         The latent artist needs a plan to make something big. (1 vote)
  • ·         Problem-solver needs a way to find an alternative approach to problem solving because she needs more creative an innovative solutions. (1 vote)
  • ·         Stressed out tech worker needs and escape to support mental health.(0 votes)
  • ·         Stressed tech worker needs a way to relax that reduces their cognitive load.(0 votes)
  • ·         Busy tech worker needs more time to spend at a nonprofit. (0 votes)
